Next Steps Together (NeST) is a community organisation based at Tumbly Hill Wellbeing Hub in Kingsbridge, South Devon.
People come to us for many different reasons. Some are looking for support around dementia or neurodivergence. Others join an activity, learn something new, meet people, volunteer or simply enjoy spending time with others.
Whatever brings you here, you'll find opportunities to connect, learn and take part in ways that feel right for you.
Find What's Right for You
Our work is organised into three connected strands, making it easier to explore the activities, services and opportunities available at NeST.
Each strand has its own focus, but they're closely linked. Many people take part in more than one, discovering new interests, building relationships and becoming part of the wider NeST community.
Explore the three strands below to find out more.
Life doesn't stop with a dementia diagnosis. Dementia Together creates opportunities to stay active, connected and continue feeling part of your community.
From Memory Café and Singing for the Brain to Cognitive Stimulation Therapy and peer support, there are many ways to keep doing the things that matter to you.
Wellbeing means something different to everyone. Wellbeing Together creates opportunities to explore what feels right for you.
From movement and creativity to counselling and conversation, there are many different ways to take part.
Every person has a story worth sharing, and every generation has something worth passing on.
Gardening, cooking, volunteering, creative projects and community events create opportunities for people of all ages to connect, learn from one another and strengthen community life.
What Matters to Us
Next Steps Together is shaped by four core values: Educate, Engage, Enrich and Empower.
These values influence everything we do, from the activities we offer to the way we work with people, volunteers, partners and the wider community. They reflect our belief that people should be listened to, their experiences valued and their voices heard in shaping the community we're building together.

Your Support Makes a Difference
NeST is a not-for-profit organisation sustained through a mix of grant funding, room hire, paid-for services and the generosity of those who believe in what we do. We keep our costs as low as possible, often supported through fundraising and donations, so that people can access the activities and support they need.
Our community plays a vital role in helping NeST grow and reach more people. Some people give their time or expertise as volunteers, others make a donation when they can, and some choose to leave a gift in their will.
Every contribution, however small, helps us build a more inclusive, connected community and continue developing the support we offer, together.
