Welcome to Next Steps Together (NeST)

We provide community-based support that promotes wellbeing, connection and resilience, through a range of activities and services for people at different stages of life.

Alongside our wider community offer, we have a particular focus on people living with dementia and those who are neurodivergent (including autism, ADHD and related differences), as well as those who care for them.

Our work is delivered through three core strands: Dementia Together, Wellbeing Together and SEND Together, providing support that is responsive to a diverse range of needs and designed to work alongside one another.

We work with individuals, families and carers, and with health, education and community partners, to ensure what we do is accessible and shaped with the people who use it.

Rooted in community, shaped by lived experience, and informed by professional knowledge, our approach helps people feel more connected, more confident and better able to shape the support they receive.

What Matters to Us

Next Steps Together is shaped by four core values: Educate, Engage, Enrich, Empower.

These values are reflected in our name and embedded in how we work with people, including clients, families, volunteers, staff and partners. They underpin our belief in listening to people, valuing their experiences, and involving them in shaping the support they receive.

We create spaces for creativity, connection and shared purpose. Our sessions support identity and belonging, offering time for reflection, enjoyment and community connection.
We work alongside individuals, families, professionals and communities - listening carefully, responding with compassion, and shaping support together in ways that feel relevant and meaningful.
We encourage people to shape their own goals and stay involved in decisions that affect them, building confidence to voice their needs, feel heard and stay connected to what matters most to them.
We share knowledge that builds confidence, awareness and resilience - helping people understand themselves and others, and shift attitudes towards mental health and wellbeing, dementia and neurodivergence.
